AI PC 到底是什麼？各大廠商眾說紛紜，為此 Intel、微軟聯手宣佈了 3 大條件，不只是規格要夠強，電腦內建的 AI 助理、鍵盤配置都有要求。

外媒《The Verge》報導，Intel 與微軟對於 AI PC 一共有三大要求，第一項要求是，處理晶片必須具備全新 NPU、CPU 以及 GPU 等元素，比較難達成的是 NPU（整合神經網路處理器），此為專門用來進行低功耗 AI 運算的關鍵，目前只有最新一代的處理器才會具備。

另外，也將要求電腦必須內建 Copilot AI 助理，目前只要是 Windows 10、Windows 11 均能達標。最後，則是在鍵盤上要配有 Copilot 的專用按鍵，目前市售的新一代 Windows 11 商務、文書取向筆電，已經陸續採用此設計，只要按一下就能呼喚 Copilot 助理。先前微軟曾強調，Copilot 按鍵並非強制要求，電腦品牌可根據需求自行決定。

對此《The Verge》也點出疑惑，像是華碩電競筆電 ROG Zephyrus 都已經搭載 Intel 最新的 Core Ultra 處理器，有絕對充足的效能運算 AI，可是套用微軟的定義，仍不能被稱為一款 AI PC。Intel 則解釋，他們和微軟有聯合定義，希在處理器、Copilot、Copilot 按鍵上保持一致，不過從 Intel 的角度來看，只要有 Core Ultra 處理器，就有能力解鎖 AI 的各式應用。
